How Much UVA Light on Wheat Grass?

Eryn's Reply: Here are some wheatgrass growing lights ranging from 15 watts to 90 watts. I am sure that range of wattage would be fine for just 10 minutes of exposure to your wheatgrass. Personally, I would experiment based on your unique indoor wheatgrass growing space to see which wattage works best for your wheatgrass. You can also experiment with the length of time you expose your wheatgrass to this UVA light. Your wheatgrass will "communicate" to you visually through how well it is growing and flourishing. Remember, no light is necessary during those first days of germination. Your seedlings are initially covered to block out the light and to keep the moisture in. Once the germination phase is over, and the covering has been removed from the growing sprouts, then the more light they receive, the faster they will grow. Three hours of sunlight each day is sufficient for your growing wheatgrass. The wheatgrass grows wonderfully in indirect light and will grow just fine with only full spectrum grow lights too.
