Thanks for your response to my wheatgrass question. I have planted about 4 cups of wheat seed in one wheatgrass tray and get just about 8 wheatgrass shots.
If two cups of planted weed seeds gives you about 12 shots of wheatgrass juice as you say, I must be doing something wrong. I will try to plant less grains.
On your wheatgrass information pages, I did not find which temperature and humidity you are growing your wheatgrass in?

Remember, there are 1 1/2 ounces in a shot. So if your wheatgrass batch from 4 cups of grain produced 8 shots, that is really about 12 ounces of wheatgrass juice.
I would try "planting" less of the grain, 1 3/4 - 2 cups of wheat seed per 21"x10" (210 square inches) wheatgrass tray and see if you can get the 12 ounces of wheatgrass juice with that. Remember to harvest your wheatgrass at that right height if possible, preferably 6"-7" inches tall.
Currently here in Arizona in the winter when growing wheatgrass indoors, the temperature in my house is in the low 70's. My wheatgrass always grows better in the winter than in the summer when the temperature in my house is warmer. The humidity is very low in Arizona.
Wheatgrass actually prefers to be grown in a cooler climate. I do not use any special lighting, just the sunlight from the window that comes through in the morning and brings light into my kitchen all day - but not shining directly on the wheatgrass.

Have you tried to grow spelt? I am asking if spelt makes more juice...or kamut? Do either of those grains produce more juice than red winter wheat?

All of the grains and their grasses should produce the same amount of juice as wheatgrass.
You can experiment to see if one grain might work better for you than another.
