Maria Treben Biography
 Maria Treben (1907-1991) was a renowned Austrian author, herbalist and European lecturer who revealed little known herbal health secrets known for their miraculous success. An especially religious woman, she had a deep trust in nature and God's natural pharmacy. You can easily learn how to use herbs effectively with this master herbalist. She grew up in rural surroundings in the former Sudetan, Germany, which is now part of Poland. Along with her family, she tended the garden and did everything that must be done in a country household. After high school, Treben worked in the editorial offices of the newspaper Prague Daily News. She worked there for 14 years and then married an Engineer there, Ernst Gottfried Treben. They had one son, Kurt Dieter, and Treben then became a homemaker in the perfect sense of the word. At the end of 1945, the Treben family was forced to leave. Marie Treben's husband was put into prison. Treben then spent the next two years with her small son in several different camps. Thankfully, the Trebens were reunited and they found a new home in Austria. They ended up moving to Grieskirchen in 1951, which is a district of the state of Upper Austria in Austria. They built themselves a home and lived out their lives there.
Maria Treben continued to acquire more herbal knowledge over time.
