Prayer Helps Overcome
Anxiety And Fear,
Then Brings Healing

Prayer definitely played a role in helping me to overcome anxiety attacks and the tremendous fear that comes with them. People have asked me if I had times when my anxiety attack symptoms started coming back and how I dealt with that. I answered that faith helped me when those old and quite familiar anxiety symptoms came to revisit me again.

I just knew those scary symptoms would pass and that I would be fine in the long haul. Having faith and hope for anxiety recovery, was a big part of what helped me to just make it through the day, overcome disappointing setbacks and finally to heal.

I spoke to God a lot. Ask to be shown which healing tools will assist you the most on your get well journey. It is amazing the help and information that would come to me from that request.

If you are filled with fear and you feel you can't overcome what you are experiencing in your life, you can ask Archangel Raphael to give you the faith and courage needed and to assist you in finding your internal strength and power you hold within you. Yes, the true power is within you.

Following is the beneficial prayer from Healing With the Angels that I really like and that seemed to help me:


"Dear God,

"I know that you created me in the perfect image and likeness of Yourself. I ask that you, Holy Spirit, and the archangel Raphael help me know and experience this health in my physical body. I am willing to release all thoughts and behaviors that create the illusion of illness and pain. I know that You are omnipresent, so therefore, You exist in every cell in my body. Please help me feel Your love in my physical body so that I can know that You cradle me in Your arms right now. Amen"


So lovely, what a beautiful prayer that really helped bring me serenity.

There are a few other nice prayers in that book. So, yes, faith is very important too in overcoming severe anxiety.

In 1857, Roman Goetz and Mathiez Werner erected a 15 foot white oak cross on the summit at Holy Hill, 250 feet above the surrounding country side. A log chapel followed in 1863. Since then, buildings have been enlarged or replaced as needed. Holy Hill was declared a Shrine with "Portiuncula privilege" by Pope Leo XIII in 1903.

In 1906 the care of Holy Hill was entrusted to the Carmelite Fathers and Brothers. However, as far back as the 1700s and perhaps even earlier, the American Indians came to Holy Hill because they believed it to be a sacred place. Today, Holy Hill is one of the better known Catholic Shrines in the United States and it attracts over 500,00 visitors annually.

On November 19, 2006, the Shrine was elevated to the status of Basilica. Basilica is the Latin word given to refer to a large and important church that has been given special ceremonial rites by the Pope.

When I traveled to Wisconsin this summer, I was able to visit Holy Hill. We like to visit Holy Hill every summer when we are in Wisconsin on vacation. It has been a place of worship, inspiration, and healing for many years. They also have a special healing service once per month.









There are many statues with their holy water being displayed on the gorgeous outdoor countryside grounds. Here I am with my family enjoying Holy Hill.








When you enter Holy Hill's upper main sanctuary, it is quite the splendor and absolutely stunning with the stained glass windows and the peaceful feeling that envelopes you. The materials used for the sanctuary's breathtaking alter area are marble, bronze and gold. One is enveloped with a sense of awe and feels nourished to the soul. What a moving and spiritually uplifting Holy Spirit haven to behold. The inside of the stunning main sanctuary at Holy Hill reminds me of the inside of the beautiful Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.




There is an adjoining little chapel off of the main church. To the side and just outside the entrance to this tiny chapel, is a small area that holds many pairs of crutches.









The word is that the people came to Holy Hill walking on their crutches, and after praying they were able to leave their crutches behind. I think the pictures speak for themselves.
