Raised on Raw Milk - Helps Balance Thyroid

Most of the time I grew up on raw milk, whenever my parents could get it. I've always been a milk girl. When I was growing up, my parents would buy raw milk from a local coop market. I loved it.
Sometimes we drank pasteurized milk, if that was all that was available. I loved milk either way, but especially raw.
After growing up and developing some minor health issues, I turned to raw milk again after discovering that I did not have any sensitivity to it.
My thyroid would stay in balance better if I drank raw milk rather than pasteurized. I even did a 24-hour raw milk fast once, during which time my goiter (I had an overactive thyroid) shrank quite a bit.
My husband thinks he is lactose intolerant, but must have milk with his pancakes on weekend mornings. Of course it is raw milk, and we have just started making raw milk kefir. He does not have any problem with the raw milk.
When my son was born, if I drank pasteurized milk and nursed him, he would get a red rash around his mouth. If I drank real non-pasteurized milk, he would not.
We drink only raw milk in our house. I'm so glad it's legal now--I don't have to steal off to a nearby farm and implore them to take some out of the vat for me prior to pasteurization. :)
