Spring Raw Milk Tastes The Best

Cow Eating Grass Produces Excellent Raw Milk

Cow Eating Grass Produces Excellent Raw Milk

Well, it is probably difficult for most to taste a variety of raw milks from different dairies. I like to note that our fresh raw milk flavor varies greatly throughout the year.

I live in Virginia, and I get Guernsey raw milk from an Amish farmer in Pennsylvania through a buyer's club.

I think the best tasting milk is in spring during delivery and after a sunny week. The cows get sunshine and eat a lot of green grass.

The cream in the top fourth of the raw milk is a beige, and the bottom 3/4 of the fresh milk is a very light yellow-green - I kid you not. When we see that, we know it was a sunny week.

That is the most interesting tasting raw milk with lots of flavors. Today's delivery was pretty good, but I am looking forward to next Wednesday's delivery.

When I visit California (Bay Area), I usually pick up Claravale dairy milk from Whole Foods. It's pretty high quality. I never drank Organic Pastures milk. I heard they have a mix of Jersey and Holstein cows. It is more expensive.

What's up with California - legal retail sales of raw milk, yet only 2 dairies serving this entire large state of Virginia? One would think there should be over a dozen farms throughout the state providing raw milk.

Nothing Like Raw Milk From Cows Eating Spring Grass
by: Eryn - Editor Health Banquet

What a fantastic raw milk review. Your description of the raw milk you had the pleasure of drinking surely describes the nuances of the raw milk flavor and its visual appearance.

Yes, the diet of the cow, and the herbs in the fields it is able to eat, dramatically affects the flavor of the raw milk.

Not only is raw milk from cows eating grass and bathing in the sunlight at its nutritional peak in the spring, but the raw butter produced from that raw milk in the spring is a nutrition powerhouse too.

This Washington woman really appreciates raw milk benefits too.

What a blessing for your body to be able to receive those highly valuable enzymes and nutrition from your raw milk.

I believe, just recently, Whole Foods has stopped selling raw milk. My how I hope that changes.

Lots going on in the raw milk front. The 2nd Annual Raw Milk Symposium is occurring on April 10, 2010 in Madison, Wisconsin. Raw milk supporters are encouraged to attend.

More and more people are realizing the importance of living foods in our diet. People have the right to choose if they want to buy raw milk with its valuable enzymes intact.

It is an incredible food source that has nourished man for thousands of years, in its raw enzyme rich state, helping to build strong healthy bodies.

Thank you so much for your informative description of raw milk at it finest!
