Do Not Put Salt In Soaking Flour For Bread Making
by: Eryn Paige

Hi Charlotte,

Never add your salt in the soaking flour that will be used for your homemade bread. The salt will slow down the soaking process and, therefore, decrease the benefits from soaking.

Always add the salt after you have soaked your flour.

Your batch is probably OK to use, it just has not been properly soaked.

Of course, you know to use sea salt. My favorite brand is Celtic Sea Salt.

It has exquisite taste and is doctor recommended to boot.

Hope that helps,

Eryn
